How to Make a 2 Piece Mold - Page 1
 

  • Step 1: Assemble Materials Needed
The first step is to assemble all the required materials. Use the list below to be sure you have everything before you start.
  • Original Sculpture
  • Board to temporarily attach original sculpture to
  • Sulfur Free Plastelina
  • Mold Rubber to make the mold (RTV* Silicone) (Plus any extra compounds; accelerator, thixative)
  • Chip Brushes
  • Mixing buckets
  • Mixing Spatulas, or Jiffy Mixer and hand drill
  • Scale (if needed to measure mold material)
  • Release agent if needed
  • Rubber gloves
  • Paper towels or rags
  • Mother Mold Material
  • Electric drill, screws and wing nuts or mold rubber bands or clamps
