IN & OUT tm water based concrete release agent concentrate was developed as an economical casting aid for releasing concrete from a variety of form surfaces including Smooth-On polyurethane rubbers. IN & OUT tm provides a clean positive release and does not interfere with or affect surface detail. Click here for MSDS. |

Directions IN & OUT tm is mixed with water. The minimum dilution ratio is One Part IN & OUT tm to One Part Water (1 : 1). Mixing can be done by hand or slow speed mixer. Do not shake or agitate as this may cause product to foam. How you dilute IN & OUT tm (amount mixed with water, coverage and frequency of application) will depend on the concrete aggregate mix and the form material you are casting into. For example, when casting concrete with a low grit/high sand content (minimal abrasion) into a polyurethane mold, the mix ratio of IN & OUT tm to water can be up to 1 : 8. If aggregate has a high grit/low sand content, lubricity required to release these abrasive castings will be higher. Therefore, a mix ratio of 2 Parts Release to 1 Part Water is recommended. Mix only amount needed for one day. Mixture may separate after 24 hours. Re-mix to a uniform consistency and apply. |

Application Apply IN & OUT tm thoroughly with brush, roller or spray each time prior to casting concrete. Do not allow release agent to puddle. Spraying pressure should be 25 psi (172 kPa) or higher. For uniform spray applications of release agent, flat spray tips are suggested. Caution: Do Not Over Apply. Applying too much release agent will cause "wormtracks", "bugholes" or pitting on casting surface. If you experience this, dilute IN & OUT further by adding more water. Concrete can be cast immediately or several hours following application of release agent. Rates Of Coverage - When mixed with water in a ratio of 1:1, the coverage is: 2,000 sq. ft. (185.8 m2) on polyurethane, silicone, metal or plastic forms. 1,000 sq. ft. (92.9 m2) on treated wooden forms. Quality Standards Of Compliance: IN & OUT tm meets U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers CE-204, Section 7.10, Section 3-03-K and CE 1401.1, Section 17.4. Meets California SCAQMD Rule 1113-90 for VOC regulations. The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this or any Smooth-On product should be read prior to use and is available upon request. All Smooth-On products are safe to use if directions are read and followed carefully. |
