Rock Maple Mallets This hard maple mallet features a traditional design that is perfect for the novice or experienced carver. The comfortable handle and large head lend themselves to long carving sessions. The dimensions are roughly 3in. in diameter and 9in. long. It is available in two weight classes. |

Barrel Shaped Mallets These Barrel Shaped Mallets are used by wood carvers and furniture makers. They are also preferred by many woodworkers for 'backing out' plane irons, as the rounded ends reduce the chances of denting the ends of wooden plane bodies. These mallets are hand-made from special quality Kashi (Japanese White Oak). Only a few select pieces are obtained from each tree. Average length is 13in. |

| The "Wood is Good" line of quiet mallets is guaranteed unbreakable. The heads are made of a tough urethane material designed to be quiet and yet able to transmit the maximum blow to the tool. The handles are beautifully turned out of selected, premium New England Hardwoods. They are polish sanded. Our mallets come in four popular weights of 12,18, 20, and 30 ounces. Both the 12 ounce and the 18 ounce mallets use our small urethane head of 2 3/4in. diameter. The 20 ounce and 30 ounce mallets have a urethane head of 3 1/2in. diameter. |
