- ANCHORSEAL is applied as soon as possible after cutting or end trimming, to all end grain surfaces. On valuable veneer logs, areas where bark is removed should also be ANCHORSEALed.
- Apply ANCHORSEAL with a brush, roller, or with spray equipment. If a sprayer is used, the tip must be large enough to accommodate the thick ANCHORSEAL emulsion. A dump gun can be used with a #6 nozzle.
- ANCHORSEAL should be applied "to the drip": apply as much as the lumber or log will hold, until it begins to drip slightly. If there is no dripping, it may be too little. If there is heavy dripping, it is too much.
- Valuable logs will benefit from a heavy application of ANCHORSEAL. Logs under 24"/60cm can be coated "to the drip." Logs over 24"/60 cm should be coated very heavily, perhaps twice within 15 minutes.
