- Polyurethane rigid and semi-rigid casting compounds are extremely
easy to handle, because they have simple mix-ratios and good fluidity.
They can be poured into practically any type of mold material with the
right release agent (excluding Polysulfides). Certain sensitivities
effect them negatively--short shelf life in pre-mixed form and a particularly
strong aversion to water. They are available with variable set-up times
and can be pigmented for custom work. The listings below are in order
of increasing Shore D hardness when cured.
