WINTERSTONE-Xtra was developed by Sculptor, Lorne P. Winters, to complement WINTERSTONE Regular.  Xtra is a modified formulation of Regular which sets faster and harder.  This particular characteristic of the Xtra formula allows the sculptor the opportunity to expedite the sculpting process through the modeling stage into the soft carving stage.

It is recommended that sculptors first become familiar with the use of WINTERSTONE Regular before using the time-sensitive WINTERSTONE Xtra.  Whereas Regular has an open working time of approximately 60 minutes, the Xtra has a working time of only about 20 minutes.  The recommended range of mixing water with the Xtra is 27 to 29 parts  by weight of water to 100 parts by weight of  dry mix.  (This  is  equivalent to an approximate volumetric measure of 25 to 27 parts of water to 100 parts of loose dry mix).

PRICING

WINTERSTONE-XTRA is supplied as a one part dry mix.  It has at least a one year shelf life provided it is kept in a sealed container in a dry place.

One pound of dry material produces approximately 19 cu.in. of mixed product.

Care should be taken in the measurement and mixing process of Xtra as it is extremely sensitive to very small changes in the quantity of mixing water.

The mixing application and finishing procedures are the same as for WINTERSTONE Regular.

Both WINTERSTONE Regular and WINTERSTONE-Xtra may be mixed together to produce a mixture having time-sensitive characteristics within the ranges outlined above for the individual product.  The sculptor need only to make up very small test batches using varying percentages of each product to determine the best composition for any particular sculpting situation.

This product is safe to use with proper handling and precautions.  Read and follow directions carefully.
