WINTERSTONE is a dry white powder -- a complex multi-component mixture of several cements, mineral fillers, copolymer and beneficent additives -- which when mixed with a nominal amount of water, produces a modeling medium of clay-like consistency which gradually sets into a stone hard material. The hardening process is a result both of internal reactions with the mixing water and external air-drying. From the initial mixing through to the final hardening, it is responsive to the hand of the sculptor. While the mixture is fresh and plastic it can be worked easily and with control. As it hardens, the sculptor can monitor the hardening closely and choose the appropriate time for any subsequent operation, whether it is the continuation of build-up with additional mixture or initiating the carving and finishing.

WINTERSTONE has been formulated specifically as a sculpting medium and unlike ordinary cement mixtures, it possess the bonding, workability and consistency compatible to direct modeling. The hardened product has improved strength characteristics and increased shrinkage resistance and (unlike gypsum plasters) is durable and permanent in an outdoor environment.

WINTERSTONE has the following characteristics:
